Exploring Beyond Sydney

Today I ventured outside of Sydney for a little shopping at Target & Kmart. Took a new train line and explored Red Fern & Glebe. Interesting suburbs of Sydney. Later that day I submitted an application to join the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP). I await their approval after I submitted 20 images for the committee to review.

Yoga + TV

Yesterday I attended a great 90 minute yoga session at LifeSource yoga studio. What a great find in North Sydney and in walking distance, a double workout!

Put me in a good frame of mind the rest of the day. Worked on photos, cleaned the bathroom, then I set up our TV antenna so now we have a working TV - YAY!
And it’s free local so no cable bill. The first show I found was the original Sherlock Holmes, loved it! Another awesome find…

Glad to have had much to do as Jim was back home in CT and his first visit since February. He was staying in Newton, MA where he was teaching but drove down to CT over the weekends to pack up a few more things. In CT he stayed with our good friends Marcia & Jim at their beach house in East Lyme. So much to do there, meeting with the tenants, property manager, etc.

Before he left for CT, we enjoyed dinner on Darling Harbor, one of many pretty spots in and around Sydney.

New Zealand - The North Island

Out first trip outside of Australia, very exciting to have visited NZ. We only had enough time to see the north island but loved every minute of it. Stunning views everywhere and from what others have told us, nothing compared to the south island. There will be another time for the south island.

Here are a bunch of phone pix of Hobbiton & Auckland but do check out the better quality images in the link below and be transported to a strange yet beautiful land!
